Facility Information

  • 2,176 ft. long, 640 ft. wide and 66 ft. high
  • 55 acres of floor space (2.4M sq. ft.)
  • eleven (11) process units
  • Six (6) “0” / X-29- units
  • Five (5) “00” / X-31- units
  • tails withdrawal facility where the depleted stream was pulled and containerized into cylinders for interim storage. The materials in these cylinders will be processed through the new Uranium Disposition Center for final disposal
  • cold recovery system and interim purge facility used for the recovery of UF6 from comparatively large volumes of purge gases collected from locations throughout the plant
  • nitrogen plant which produced the nitrogen that was used for various purposes throughout the site
